Fractures of the epiphysis

Abstract

Epiphysis is a commoner site of injury following trauma to the skeleton in children. They are particular impo,1ant because of the complicaticfh of growth disturbance. It was the aim of this study to analize of 1320 Iong-bone fractures in children for determination of the incidence of epiphyseal fractures. Epiphyseal fractures was accounted for 6.2% . The most frequently injured site were the distal humerus and distal radius. 26 of 78 epiphyseal fractures were treated with operative method. Complication rate was 11%.

Abstract

Epifizler Çocuklarda iskelet sistemi travmalarından sonra en sık yaralanan yerlerdir. Bu kırıklar büyüme bozukluğu oluşturabilme yönünden özel önem taşırlar. Bu çalışmamızın gayesi tedavi ettigimiz 1320 çocuk Uzun kemik kırığını analize ederek, epifiz kırıklarının insidansını tesbit etmektir. Epifiz kırıklarının insidansı %62 olarak bulundu. En fazla yaralanan yer humerus ve radius distal epifizleri olmuştur. Toplam 78 epifız kırığının 26'sı cerrahi metodla tedavi edildi. Bu kırıklarda %11 oranında komplikasyon görüldü.
