Evaluation of the severity in multiple injured patients

Year 1992, Volume: 26 Issue: 4, 251 - 254, 11.09.2006

Abstract

In this study, 28 multiply injured adults were evaluated by "Modified Injury Severity Scale" (MISS). Average MISS score was 28 ±10.5 (10-50). There was no mortality in 19 patient with MISS score 25 or less. The mortality and complications were 22.2% and 44.4% in 9 of the patients with MISS score than 25 respectively. The MISS score in mortality was 38 and 41. "Modified Injury Severity Scale" was found a practical tool to assess the severity of multiple injuries objectively and to provide facility in retrospective researchs and also to guide to take measures to decrease the mortality rate.

Mültipl travmalı hastalarda yaralanma derecesinin değerlendirilmesi

Year 1992, Volume: 26 Issue: 4, 251 - 254, 11.09.2006
