The resutts of the treatment with the method of elastic fixation of ankle fraktures with syndesmotic ligaments ruptures

Abstract

Between November 1988-August 1991 at Haydarpaşa Numune state Hospital the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Clinic 57 (30 men, 27 women) malleolar fractures were treated by dynamic osteosynthesis using ANK device We classified the fractures according to Weber. 40 of 57 patients were studied in detail; 29 of them were Weber C and 11 of them were Weber B. The mean age was 39 years with a range 18 to 67 years. The clinical and radiologic results of 40 cases who had an average follow up of 18,9 months (range 4 to 38 months) were reviewed. 18 of 40 patients were operated in the first 24 hours (group 1) and the others in 14 days. The results were evaluated according to Cedell criteria. Good results in group I was 83.3% and in group II 81.1%.

Abstract

Sağlık Bakanlığı Haydarpaşa Numune Hastanesi, Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Kliniği'nde Kasım 1988-Ağustos 1991 tarihleri arasında 57 hastaya (27 kadın, 30 erkek) ayak bileği malleoler kırığı nedeniyle ANK cihazı ile dinamik osteosentez uygulandı. Kırık sınıflamasında Weber klasifikasyonu kullanıldı Değerlendirmeye 40 hasta alındı. Bunların 29 tanesi C, 11 tanesi B tipi kırıktı. Hastalarımızın en küçük 18, en büyük 67 olmak üzere ortalama yaşı 39 olarak bulundu. Son kontrolleri yapılan 40 hasta ortalama 18,9 ay (en az 4, en çok 38 ay) izlendi. Hastaların 18'i ilk 24 saatte, kalan 22 hasta 1-14 günler arasında ameliyat edild, Ameliyat sonrası ve takip değerlendirilmelerinde Cedell kriterleri kullanıldı. Sonuçta ANK ile elde edilen sonuçlar ilk 24 saatte ameliyat edilenler %83,3, 1-14 günler arasında ameliyat edilenlerde %81,1 oranında iyi bulundu
