Evaluation of traction therapy of femoral shaft fractures in childhood

Year 1993, Volume: 27 Issue: 1, 45 - 46, 11.09.2006

Abstract

163 femur shaft fractures which were treated by traction in Orthopaedia and Traumatology Department of Cumhuriyet University Medicaf Schoof were retrospectively evaluated Mean age was 5,9 year, mean following time of these cases was 6,5 months. Distributions of cases were 119 male (73%) and 44 female (27%). Fractures were anatomically located as 53 (33%) proximal 75 (46.0%) middle and 35 (21.5%) distal parts of femur and typically determined as 75 cases (46.0%) transversly, 54 cases (33.1%) oblique, 34 cases (20.9%) spirally. As the results of clinical and radiological evaluations, 5° angulation (64.4%) in 105 patient, 5°-15° angulation in 29 patients (17.8%), more than 15° angulation in 29 patients (17.8%) and also shortening to 2 cm in 23 patients (14.1%) was determined

Çocuk femur kırıklarının traksiyonla tedavisi ve sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesi

Year 1993, Volume: 27 Issue: 1, 45 - 46, 11.09.2006
