Abstract
The rotator cuff is an important functional structure of the shoulder. Rotator cuff tendinitis is multifactorial with respect to etiopathogenesis. Before the shoulder arthroscopy era, success of the treatment of a rotator cuff pathology in an athlete was determined according to the regaining of previous athletic performance. In this article rotator cuff problems that occurs in athletes reviewed according to the recent knowledge obtained from arthroscopic experience and data from technical analyses of athletes.

Abstract
Rotator cuff tendinitinin etyolojisinde genellikle birden çok faktörün kombinasyonu görülür. Yüzme, raket sporları ve fırlatma sporlarının özellikle gelişmiş ülkelerde giderek yaygınlaşması bu konuya olan ilginin artmasına sebep olmuştur. Eski konseptlerde aktif bir sporcuda tedavinin başarısı genellikle eski atletik seviyesine dönmesi ile ölçülürdü. Son zamanlarda atletik tekniklerin analizi, atroskopik evaluasyon gibi yeni bir Iükse sahip olmamız ve Iiteratürün yeniden gözden geçirilmesi ile rotator cuff tendinitinin etyoloji ve patolojisi hakkrnda daha geniş bilgi elde etmiş durumdayız. Bu derlemede sporcularda oluşan rotator cuff problemleri gözden geçirilmiştir.
