Abstract
16 patients with knee endoprosthesis were included in this study. Patients were divided into two groups. One group received only exercise therapy and the other group received continuous passive motion (CPM) treatment plus exercise therapy. All of our patients in the exercise group were women. Their mean ages were 64.5±4.03 years. The diagnosis was gonarthrosis. In the CPM + exercise groups one of our patients was a man and the others were women. Their mean ages were 56±5.89 years. Rheumatoid arthritis was diagnosed in one of them and gonarthrosis in the others. At the end of treatment sessions, in the exercise group only pain, distance gait, standing up from a chair, and climbing stairs and in the exercise and CPM group pain, distance of gait, using walking assistance, flexion deformity and climbing stairs scores were statistically significant. When the two groups were compared, the improvement in the parameters of type of gait and degree of flexion were better in the parameters of type of gait and degree of flexion were better in the exercise and CPM group, the difference being statistically significant.

Abstract
Çalışmamıza diz endoprotezi takılan 16 hastayı dahil ettik. Bu hastaları 8'er kişilik iki gruba ayırdık. Bir grupa sadece egzersiz tedavisi, diğer gruba sürekli pasif hareket (SPH) cihazı ile birlikte egzersiz tedavisi uyguladık. Amacımız SPH cihazının egzersiz programına katkısını araştırmaktı. Egzersizler grubundaki hastalarmızın hepsi kadındı. Yaş ortalamaları 64.5±4.03 idi. Hepsinin tanısı gonartroz biçimindeydi. SPH ve egzersiz grubunda ise hastalarımızın 1 tanesi erkek diğerleri kadındı. Yaş ortalamaları 56. 25±5.89 idi. Hastalarımızın 1 tanesi romatoid artrit teşhisli, geri kalanlar gonartrozluydu. Sonuçta her iki grubun kendi içinde tedavi öncesi ve tedavi sonrası karşılaştırıldığında egzersiz grubunda değerlendirdiğimiz parametrelerden ağrı, yürüme mesafesi, iskemleden kalkma ve merdiven çıkma: egzersiz ve SPH grubunda ağrı, yürüme mesafesi, yürümeye yardımcı araç kullanımı, fleksiyon deformitesi ve merdiven çıkma istatistiksel olarak tedavi sonrası anlamlı bulundu, iki grup karşılaştırıldığında yürüyüş biçimi ve maksimum fleksiyon derecesi egzersiz ve SPH grubu lehine istatistiksel anlamlı bulundu.
