Extrapelvic endometriosis presenting as a soft tissue tumor

Year 1996, Volume: 30 Issue: 2, 195 - 198, 11.09.2006

Abstract

Endometriosis is a common gynecologic diagnosis. Typical complaints of patients with pelvic endometriosis include dysmenorrhea, menstrual irregularities, dyspareunia, and infertility. Endometriosis may also occur in extrapelvic sites such as extremities and cause unusual symptoms and diagnostic dilemmas. Extrapelvic endometriosis can mimic a soft tissue tumor, even if pathologic features are constant, regardless of location. A female patient, aged 36 years, complaining of pain in her left groin and a solid mass diagnosed on MR examination caused by an endometriosis was presented here.

Ekstrapelvik endometriozis-Nadir bir yumuşak doku tümörü

Year 1996, Volume: 30 Issue: 2, 195 - 198, 11.09.2006
