It usually involves the lower extremity unilaterally and produces characteristic sclerosing cortical thickening of the bone. Etiology and pathogenesis is still unknown. It may be associated with other abnormalities of mesodermal origin. In this study, we aimed to report a case which involved the metatarsal bones and assess the literature knowledge about differential diagnosis and treatment.
Melorheostosis çok nadir görülen, kortikal kemik sklerozu ile seyreden, daha çok alt ekstremiteyi tutan, etyolojisi ve tedavisi bilinmeyen, mesodermal orijinli yumuşak doku patolojileri ile seyredebilen, tanısı karakteristik radyolojik görünümü ile konan bir iskelet displazisidir. Bu çalışmada metatarsal tutulum gösteren bir melorheostosis vakası ayırıcı tanı ve tedavi ile ilgili literatür bilgileri eşliğinde takdim edilecektir.
