Os acromiale anatomy and indications (Case report and current concept)

Year 1998, Volume: 32 Issue: 1, 69 - 72, 11.09.2006

Abstract

Os acromiale represents a failure of fusion of the acromial ossification centers. However, often missed in the diagnostic work-up , it is usually diagnosed on an axillary plain radiograph. Os acromiale is one of the rare causes of shoulder impingement syndrome. Since it is a failure of union, its treatment emerges some problems. Primary excision of large fragments can cause catastrophic results. Here reported is a new technique done on a case with the review of the literature.

Os acromiale: anatomi ve cerrahi indikasyonlar (Olgu sunumu ve derleme)

Year 1998, Volume: 32 Issue: 1, 69 - 72, 11.09.2006
