A rare congenital condition, dysplasia epiphysealis punctata in a newborn was investigated. The condition was characterized by severe flexion deformities in the extremities and bilateral congenital cataract, and radiological examination revealed muitiple stippied calcification in the epyphyseal zones of the long lubular bones and flat bones. It was concluded that the case is similar to the lethal rhisomelic type as previousiy classified.
Bu yazıda, yeni doğanın nadir kongenital bir hastalığı olan, kartilaj, lökomotor sistemin yumuşak dokuları (adaleler), eklem kapsülü ve gözleri tutan, kısa extremiteter, kalça, diz ve dirseklerde çeşitli derecelerde flexion kontraktürleri ve radyografide çok sayıda noktalanma tarzında, ossifiye olmamış kıkırdak içindeki opasitelerle karakterize bir Displasia Epifizialis Punctata olgusu incelendi.
