Importonce of the modern ski-technique of cartilage lesions of the knee-joint

Abstract

The actual technique of skiing-characterised throug modern skiboot contruction keeps the knee joint in a constant position of flexion and encumbers especially the femorepateflar joint. In addition there is an extreme stress by passing over ground waves. In this study it is reported upon biomechanical clinical and radiological consequences. In case of cartilage damages several therapy methods are recommended. A conservative therapy should be tried in easier cases and not extreme stress (vacation-skier only). The indication limite of operative methods (BASIL-HELAL, VIERSTEIN-WEIGERT and MAOUET-BAND) are discussed. As an example we demostrate two case reports.

Abstract

Çağımızın koşullarına uygun olarak gelişen kayak tekniği, sporcunun emniyetini ve başarısını arttırmaktadır. Yeni kayak tekniği ve malzemeleri kayakçıyı çömelik olarak kaymaya zorlamaktadır. Bu pozisyonun diz eklemi üzerinde olumsuz etkileri vardır. Bu çalışmamızda yeni kayak tekniğinin diz eklemi üzerindeki, biyomekanik, klinik, röntgenolojik etkilerini inceledik. Diz eklentinin kıkırdak dokusunda görülen yaralanmaları ve tedavi olanaklarını ele aldık. Kayak sporunu meslek edinen kişilerde uygulanacak tedavi yöntemleri değişiktir. Konservatif tedaviden sonra akla cerrahi girişimler gelir. MAQUET BANDİ- BASİL - HELAL - VİERNSTEİN - WEİGERT gibi ameliyat indikasyonlanna örnekler verilmiştir. Senenin belirli bir bölümünde zevk için kayanlarda uygulanacak tedavi yöntemi daha çok profilaktik konservatiftir.
