Neurologic complications are usually expected in the cases of vertebral body destruction due to malign plasmocytoma. In our case which we followed between 1964-1976 neurologic complications did not occur dispite of total destruction of L3 vertebra. In this study indications of surgical treatment X-ray radiation and cystostatic treatment are discussed.
Kötü huylu tümörlerden olan plazmositomun soliter lokalizasyonunda omur cismi bozulup çökünce nörolojik komplikasyonlar gelişebilir. 1964 yılından 1976 a kadar gözetlediğimiz bir olguda, tümör lokalizasyonu gösteren 3 cü lomber vertebra tüm olarak kayba uğradığı halde, nörolojik semptomlar ortaya çıkmamıştır. Bu çalışmada ayrıca, plazmositomlann operatif tedavi endikasyonları yanında postoperatif devredeki Röntgen ışınları uygulanmasının ve sitostatik ilaçların önemi dile getirilmiştir.
