24 cases of scoliosis with paralytic complications is presented. Heterotropic brain tissue, diastomatomyelia, glioma, neuroblastoma and arachnoid cyst are presented as new etiological factors of neurological complications of scoliosis. It is concluded that the paralytic complications of the scoliosis can be due to systemic or local nervous diseases, pressure of laminae on the spinal cord and anoxia. It is also shown that paralytic complications of scoliosis only occur in congenital or neurogenic scoliosis.
