Abstract

In this paper the characteristic features of 114 cases of epichondylitis have been studied and the result of ultrasound therapy presented.
1 Epichondylitis seemed to appear more commonly in women than men.
2 The big majority of our patients were fourty to sixty years old.
3 The right elbow was involved more often than the left.
4 As the pathogenesis of epichodylitis in often not clear and among many thoughts expressed, the possibility of appearance of epichondytitis by a reflex mechanism in cases of cervical osteoarthritis is an interesting oneq we searched tor epichondylitis cases with neck and interscapular pains, cervical osteoarthritis, radicular pain in the arm and found their number significant.
5 In forty four cases treated with ultrasound we obtained complete cure in 16 and fairly good results in 22 patients.

EPİKONDİLİTİSLERDE RASTLANAN ÖZELLİKLER VE ULTRASON TEDAVİSİ İLE ALINAN SONUÇLAR

Year 1974, Volume: 8 Issue: 3, 281 - 288, 26.11.1974
