Omurgaya tesir eden kuvvetin istikametine tabi olarak muhtelif şekillerde omurgada travmatik lezyonlar husule geldiği, tedavi planında lezyonun stabl olup olmaması faktörünün daima göz önünde bulundurulması gerektiğini, bir kısım belkemiği travmatik lezyonlarının redüksiyonsuz ve immobilizasyonsuz tedavi edilebileceği, tedavideki gayenin anatomi restorasyondan çok stabl bir belkemiği elde edilmesi gayesine matuf olduğu ve laminektomi endikasyonlarından bahsedilmiştir.
