This paper introducing, Robert B. Salter's innommate osteotomy in the treatment of congenital dislocation of the hip.
Presenting and discussing the results of 14 operations on 11 patients, done at Shriners Crippied Children Hospital, KY Unit.
Pointing out the necessities: 1 Lateral rotation osteotomy of the femur, in case of severe anteversion of the femoral neck.
2 Iliopsoas tenotomy, in initial difficulty with proper displacement of the acetabulum, also to prevent subsequent medial displacement of the distal fragment, resulting lose of correction and narrowing of the pelvis.
3 Secure and accurate pin fixation of the graft. After very encouraging: results of these 14 operations, to use this operation in Turkey. When it is indicated, is recommended.
