Abstract
Between 1990-1996, in the, primary bipolar hemiarthroplasty was performed in 27 hips of 26 patients who had intracapsular fractures. Mean age of the cases is 67.25 and mean follow-up period is 28.2 months, ranging between 6-67 months. The patients were evaluated according to Harris hip scoring system. We have obtained 79% excellent and good and 21% fair and bad results 24 months postoperatively. Our results are congruous with literature. Our opinion, in femoral neck fractures which are thought to be treated, with arthroplasty, bipolar hemiarthroplasty is the most acceptable method.

Kliniğimize 1990-1996 yılları arasında müracat eden intrakapsüler kırıklı 26 hastanın 27 kalçasına bipolar hemiartroplasti uygulandı. Hastalarımızın yaş ortalaması 67.25'tir. En uzun takip süremiz 67 ay, en kısası 6 ay olup ortalama takip süremiz 28.2 aydır. Modifiye Harris kalça değerlendirmesine göre takip edilen ve değerlendirilen hastalarımızda ameliyattan sonraki 6. ayda %81 çok iyi ve iyi, %19 orta ve kötü, ameliyattan sonraki l. yılda % 76 çok iyi ve iyi %24 orta ve kötü, ameliyattan sonraki 2. yılda ise %79 çok iyi ve iyi, %21 ise orta ve kötü sonuç elde edildi. Sonuçlarımız literatür ile uyumludur. Artroplasti uygulanması düşünülen femur boyun kırıklarında en geçerli yöntemin bipolar hemiartroplasti olduğu kanaatindeyiz.
