Tehlikeli İrtibatlar: Suriye'de Tasavvuf ve Devlet

Abstract

Dini topluluklar ve devletler arasındaki ilişki birçok sosyal bilimci tarafından farklı boyutlarda ele alınmakta ve analiz edilmektedir. Müslüman gruplara dair ortaya konulan analizlerin bir kısmında sosyal ve siyasi farklılıkların göz ardı edilerek politik Müslüman gruplar üzerinden topyekun bir yargıya varılması analizlerin hatalı ve eksik sonuçlanmasına sebep olmaktadır. Müslüman grupların dinamikleri, içlerinde bulundukları siyasal sistem, sosyolojik ve politik koşullar dahilinde değerlendirilmelidir. Bu minvalde Ortadoğu’da yer alan dini toplulukların yapısını ve işleyişini kavramak, devlet ve dini gruplar arasındaki ilişkiyi anlamlandırmak adına kritik önem arz eder. Makale, Suriye devleti ve Suriye’de varlığını sürdüren tasavvufi gruplar arasındaki ilişkiye odaklanmaktadır. Suriye’de tasavvufi grupların sadece sosyal değil siyasi bir role de sahip olması, bu grupların kimi zaman siyasi otoriteye ve devlet yapılanmasına muhalif konumda yer alması tasavvuf gruplarının özü ve özerklikleri ile doğrudan alakalıdır. Bu makalede, Suriye devleti ile politik ve apolitik Müslüman gruplar arasındaki ilişki incelenerek Suriye devleti ve Müslüman kimlikler arasındaki ilişkinin ana hatları tarihsel bir perspektiften sunulmaktadır.
