1. Türkiye'de Azizler Kültü

APJIR is a multi-disciplinary journal established to publish academic studies on Islam and the Islamic world. The journal publishes previously unpublished articles in Turkish, English and Arabic, book, thesis, conference and symposium reviews and scholarly interviews in the fields of social sciences such as religion and theology, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, literature, history, law and ethics.

Manuscripts to be submitted to the journal must be written in accordance with the "Article Writing Guide".


APJIR is a multi-disciplinary publication dedicated to the scholarly study of all aspects of Islam and of the Islamic world. Particular attention is paid to works dealing with religion, theology, anthropology, sociology, history, law, geography, political science, literature, philosophy, international relations, environmental and developmental issues, as well as ethical questions related to scientific research.

APJIR-Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Research is a peer-reviewed and international academic e-journal.


It is published three issues a year in April, August and December. The scientific and legal responsibility of the articles published in APJIR belongs to the authors. The language of publication is Turkish, English and Arabic, but studies in other languages are also accepted. All publication rights of the articles in the journal belong to APJIR and cannot be partially or completely printed, reproduced or transferred to electronic media without the permission of the publisher. Articles that divide the society and lead to hatred and hatred are not accepted for the journal. The editorial board is responsible for the publication of the articles.

  SPELLING RULES
Manuscripts submitted to the journal for publication must comply with the following formal principles and other relevant rules. Otherwise, manuscripts submitted to the journal will not be published.


 The submitted manuscript should not have been previously published or submitted to any other journal for evaluation (or a statement should be made in the Notes to the Editor). The scientific responsibility of the manuscripts belongs to the authors. All authors must have actively participated in the study. If the submitted manuscript has been presented at any meeting before; the name, date and city of the meeting should be specified.

 The manuscripts submitted for publication are subjected to PRE-CONTROL, INFERENCE SCANNING, REFERRAL EVALUATION and TURKISH-ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHECKING.

 In the manuscripts sent to the journal, the information about the author(s) should be stated as "name-surname, title- institution and province, e-mail address, ORCID ID and ROR ID (https://ror.org/) indicating the institution information", and the journal authorities should not be forced to contact the authors again for such information. The title, institution and province of the author should also be stated in English.

 Examples of templates, which are the application of the spelling rules specified on this page, are at the end of the article. Manuscripts to be sent to the journal should be organised and sent on these templates.


 All types of academic publications (including book reviews and translations) submitted to the journal must include both Turkish and English abstracts.
The title of the article should be written in Turkish and English in capital letters immediately before both the Turkish and English abstracts. At the beginning of the article, there should be an abstract of at least 150 and at most 250 words, and at the end of the abstract, there should be 5-7 words of keywords. The first of the keywords should indicate the branch of science to which the article belongs and the words should be ordered from general to specific.

The ISNAD Citation System 2nd EDITION TRANSLATION Script Alphabet should be used for the transcription of the names of persons, works and some concepts in different languages.
The text font should be Isnad Font and the font size should be 10 pt, double-sided, without hyphenation, and 8 pt for abstracts and footnotes. (This font can be downloaded from the ISNAD Citation System website).
Page layout should be 4 cm from top, bottom, right and left; no paragraph indentation, paragraph spacing should be 0 pt, then 6 pt, and line spacing should be 1.0. The article volume should not exceed 12,000 words.
The article should be organised in the following order:


a.) Abstract: The maximum length of the abstract should be 250 words. One line space should be left between the abstract and the keywords, which should consist of at least 3 (three) words, and should be written in italics.


b.) Main Text: The manuscript should begin with an introduction that expresses the main aims and approaches of the article in a scientific language, including ideas formed by combining proof-based information and logical arguments from different disciplines. This section should be written with all readers in mind. Technical terms, symbols and abbreviations should be defined the first time they are used in the article. All sections should be numbered and formatted in the following order.

1. Introduction,
2. Sources and Method,
3. Findings
4. Evaluation and Conclusion.
The main text may have sub-headings (1.1, 1.2, etc.).

c). Bibliography: The bibliography should be included as a separate heading at the end of the text.



The evaluation process of the articles submitted to the journal (APJIR) consists of 3 (three) stages:

1. Preliminary Evaluation Process: The preliminary evaluation of the submitted manuscripts is carried out by the Editor in accordance with the instructions specified in the section titled "Writing Rules" on APJIR's Dergipark web page. Manuscripts deemed suitable to be sent to referees by the Editor are sent to at least two referees.
2. Reviewers' Evaluation: The referees fill in the referee evaluation form on-line according to the instructions titled "Publication Principles" on the website www.apjir.com and send it to the editor.
3. Final Decision Process: Within the framework of the evaluations of the referees, the Editor has the authority to decide whether the text will be published or not. If deemed necessary, the Editor may also send the article to another referee for evaluation. In case of a need for correction, the Editor sends the referee evaluation reports to the authors and forwards the articles sent to him/her after the relevant corrections to the publication manager. The final version of the text is sent back to the authors for final checks before publication. After all these procedures, the article is ready for publication.

Peer-reviewed studies are studies that embody and support the scientific method. At this point, it is important that all stakeholders of the process (authors, readers and researchers, publisher, referees and editors) comply with the standards for ethical principles. Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies expects all stakeholders to carry the following ethical responsibilities within the scope of publication ethics.

The following ethical duties and responsibilities have been prepared in accordance with the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as open access (see COPE Guidelines in Turkish).

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is a necessary building block in the development of a respected knowledge network. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and their supporting institutes. Peer-reviewed articles support and shape the scientific method. It is therefore important for all parties involved in publishing, authors, journal editors, reviewers and publishing organisations, to agree on standards of expected ethical behaviour:

1. Authorship
The bibliography list must be complete.
Plagiarism and fake data should not be included.
It should not be attempted to publish the same research in more than one journal.

Actions against science research and publication ethics are as follows:

a) Plagiarism: Presenting the ideas, methods, data, applications, writings, forms or works of others as one's own work in whole or in part without citing the owners in accordance with scientific rules,

b) Forgery: Producing data that are not based on research, editing or modifying the submitted or published work based on unreal data, reporting or publishing them, presenting a research that has not been conducted as if it has been conducted,

c) Distortion: Falsifying research records and data obtained, showing methods, devices and materials that were not used in the research as if they were used, not evaluating data that do not comply with the research hypothesis, manipulating data and/or results to fit the relevant theory or assumptions, falsifying or shaping the results of the research in line with the interests of the persons and organisations supported,

d) Slicing: Inappropriately dividing the results of a research into parts in a way that disrupts the integrity of the research and presenting them as separate works in academic promotions by publishing a large number of publications without citing each other,

e) Unfair authorship: Including people who have not made active contributions among the authors, not including people who have made active contributions among the authors, changing the author ranking in an unjustified and inappropriate manner, removing the names of active contributors from the work during publication or in subsequent editions, using his/her influence to have his/her name included among the authors even though he/she has not made active contributions,

f) Other types of ethical violations: Failure to clearly indicate the persons, institutions or organisations that provide support and their contributions to the research in the publications of the research conducted with support; not respecting patient rights in publications; sharing the information contained in a work that he/she has been assigned to review as a referee with others before publication; misusing the resources, places and facilities provided or allocated for scientific research; making completely groundless, unwarranted and deliberate accusations of ethical violations (YÖK Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive, Article 8).

2. Author Responsibilities
All authors must contribute significantly to the research.
A declaration that all data in the manuscript are true and authentic is required.
All authors are obliged to ensure retraction and correction of errors.

3. Responsibilities of the referees
Reviews should be impartial.
Reviewers should not have any conflict of interest with the research, the authors and/or the research funders.
Reviewers should cite relevant published but not cited works.
Checked manuscripts should be kept confidential.

4. Editorial Responsibilities
Editors have full responsibility and authority to accept or reject an article.
Editors should not be in conflict of interest regarding the articles they accept or reject.
Only articles that will contribute to the field should be accepted.
When errors are found, they should support the publication or withdrawal of the correction.
Keep the names of the referees confidential and prevent plagiarism/fake data.
The refereeing process is central to the success of scientific publishing. Maintaining and improving the refereeing process is part of our commitment, and Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies has an obligation to assist the scientific community in all cases of publishing ethics, especially in cases of dubious, duplicate publications or plagiarism.
When a reader notices a significant error or inaccuracy in an article published in the Journal of Academic Platform Islamic Studies or has any complaint about the editorial content (plagiarism, duplicate articles, etc.), he/she can send a complaint to hurmahmut@gmail.com. We welcome complaints as they will provide an opportunity for improvement, and we aim to respond quickly and constructively.

Revealing Suicide
Articles submitted to Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies for publication are subjected to double blind peer review by at least two referees. In addition, a special plagiarism detection programme is used to confirm that the articles have not been published before and do not contain plagiarism.

Publisher
Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies is published by Academic Perspective Association (Sakarya/Turkey).

Scope
Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies focuses on historical, current or future problems and problems that are likely to arise in different geographies where Islamic societies live. The source of these problems may be social, political, economic, religious, cultural. Unlike all these sources and reasons, the researcher is expected to act with the method of any discipline or discuss the problem with a multi-disciplinary method. It is assumed that comparative research and holistic perspectives are more useful in discovering the truth in a globalised world.
Comparative research is expected to be more in the fields of Basic Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Sciences, Islamic History and Arts, Religious Culture and Ethics Education.

Publication Frequency
Journal of Theology Academy is a refereed journal published 3 issues a year (April - August - December).

Article Evaluation Process
Manuscripts submitted to our journal are first examined by the Editorial Board for compliance with the journal's principles.
Those deemed unsuitable are returned to the author for correction.
Academic objectivity and scientific quality are the most important criteria in the evaluation of manuscripts submitted for publication.
Those found suitable for evaluation are sent to at least two referees in the relevant field. The names of the referees are kept confidential and the reports are kept for five years. If one of the referee reports is positive and the other is negative, the manuscript may be sent to a third referee or the Editorial Board may review the referee reports and make a final decision. Authors take into account the criticisms and suggestions of the referees and the Editorial Board. If they disagree, they have the right to object with their reasons. Manuscripts not accepted for publication are not returned to the authors.
Manuscripts submitted for publication are checked for plagiarism using a special plagiarism detection programme.

Publication Language
Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies welcomes articles written in Turkish, English and Arabic. Arabic articles should include a title and abstract in Turkish and English and a bibliography written in Latin alphabet.
Manuscripts should include English title, abstract (at least 120 words), keywords (at least 5 concepts), abstract (at least 750 words) and bibliography prepared in ISNAD citation style.


Citation and Reference System
Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies requires the use of the Isnad Citation System (www.isnadsistemi.org) in citation and bibliography writing.

Plagiarism Detection Policy
Through a special plagiarism detection programme, it is confirmed that the articles have not been published before and do not contain plagiarism.

Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content, adopting the principle that making scientific research freely available to the public will increase the global sharing of knowledge.

Archiving
The journal is sent to domestic and foreign libraries and international index institutions determined by the Editorial Board within one month from the date of publication.

Publication and Evaluation Fee
Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies does not charge any fee from the authors for the article evaluation and publication process.

Copyright
The copyright of the articles accepted for publication in Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies is deemed to be transferred to the Editorial Board of Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies.

Article Acceptance
The manuscripts to be submitted to the Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies are required to be an original article that will fill a gap in the field or a review that evaluates previously published studies and puts forward new and remarkable views on this subject.
In order for the articles to be published in Academic Platform Journal of Islamic Studies, they must not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere. Papers previously presented at a scientific meeting may be accepted, provided that this is clearly stated.

There is no charge for articles published in our journal.

1971'de Özbekistan’ın başkenti Taşkent’te Türk dünyasının bülbülü, meşhur ozan, şair ve siyasetçi Dedehan Hasan’ın ailesinde dünyaya gelmiştir. 1994'te Taşkent Devlet Üniversitesi (bugünkü Mirza Uluğbey Özbekistan Milli Üniversitesi) Özbek Filolojisi Fakültesinden mezun olmuştur.
1995’de çalışmaya başladığı Özbekistan Cumhuriyeti Bilimler Akademisi Ali Şir Nevai Özbek Dili, Edebiyatı ve Folkloru Enstitüsünde 1999’da Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hakkul danışmanlığında “Sultan Ahmed Hazini’nin “Cevahir ül-ebrar min emvac il-bihar” eseri ve Yesevilik araştırmalarındaki ilmi-tarihi değeri” konusunda doktora (PhD) tezini vermiştir.
2001-2004’te aynı kurumda post doktora eğitimi görmüş, 2004’te bilimsel çalışmalarından dolayı Özbekistan Cumhuriyeti Bilimler Akademisi Başkanlığınca yılın genç akademisyeni ödülüne layık görülmüştür.
2011'de Özbekistan Cumhuriyeti Yüksek Atestasyon Komisyonu tarafından Doçent ünvanı verilmiştir. 2017 senesinde Özbek Dili, Edebiyatı ve Folkloru Enstitüsünde “Yesevilikle ilgili kaynaklar ve “Divan-ı Hikmet” incelemesi” konulu tez çalışması için Doctor of Sciences akademik derecesi verilmiştir.
2015-2020’de Karabük Üniversitesinde öğretim üyesi olarak çalışırken Araştırma Teknikleri, Türk Mitolojisi, Şiir Tahlilleri, Halk Edebiyatı, Metin Şerhi, Türk Tasavvuf Edebiyatı, Eski Türk Edebiyatına giriş, Tasavvuf Edebiyatı, Çağatay Edebiyatı, Özbek Edebiyatı, Özbek Türkçesi Metinleri, Çağatayca, Yesevi Hikmet Mektebi, Türkistan Milli uyanış edebiyatı gibi derslere girmiştir.
2018’de Karabük Üniversitesinde Profesör olarak atanmış, Karabük Üniversitesi Rektörlüğü nezdindeki Cengiz Aytmatov Türk Dünyası Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezinde Müdür yardımcılığı yapmıştır (2018-2020).
Taşkent Devlet Doğu Bilimleri Üniversitesi Türkoloji Fakültesinde (2021-2022) "Türk edebiyatı" derslerine girmiştir.; 2023 yıl itibariyle Mirza Uluğbey Özbekistan Milli Üniversitesi Özbek Filolojisi Fakültesinde "Tasavvuf ve edebiyat", "Türk dünyası edebiyatı", "Çağatay Edebiyatı Tarihi" gibi derslere girmektedir.
Üniversitelerde doktora (5 adet) ve yüksek lisans (25 adet) tezlerine danışmanlık yapmıştır.
Avrupa (Sephis), Türkiye (yüksek öğretim kurumları destekli) ve Özbekistan (Özbekistan Bilimler Akademisi, Özbekistan Uluslararası İslam Akademisi, Özbekistan İslam Uygarlık Merkezi)’daki bilimsel projelerde çalışmıştır.
Türkiye, Özbekistan ve Kazakistan’da düzenlenen birçok uluslararası ve ulusal zirve, sempozyum, kurultay ve çalıştaylara katılarak bildiriler sunmuş, konferans ve seminerler vermiştir.
Türk Dil Kurumunda, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli Üniversitesi Türk Kültürü ve Hacı Bektaş Veli Araştırma Dergisi, İnsan ve Toplum Bilimleri Araştırmaları, Sabahattin Zaim Üniversitesi Tasavvuf İlmi Araştırma Dergisi, Karabük Üniversitesi Karabük Türkoloji Uluslararası dergisi, Tereke Uluslararası Beşeri Bilimler ve Sanat Dergisi gibi dergilerde hakem ve yayın kurulu üyesi, Özbekistan Milli Üniversitesi Bilim Heyeti jüri üyesi, Alişir Nevai Taşkent Devlet Özbek Dili ve Edebiyatı Üniversitesi Seminer Bilim Heyeti üyesi, Biruni Şarkşinaslık Yazmalar Enstitüsü Yazmalar İnceleme Komisyonu üyesidir.
Türkiye-Özbekistan arasındaki ilim, eğitim ve kültür alanlarındaki ilişkilerin gelişmesine, Türkiye’nin Özbekistan’da tanıtılması hususunda, birçok Türkçe kitabın, eserin ve filmlerin Özbek Türkçesine çevrilerek yayınlanmasına katkıda bulunmuştur.
İstanbul’da Özbekistan ile Dostluğu Geliştirme Derneğini kurup, Özbekistan’dan yazar, düşünür ve akademisyenlerin Türkiye’ye gelip seminerler vermesine, Türkiye’deki gelişmeleri Özbekistan’a aktararak, Türkiye’yi tanıtmalarına, bu vesileyle iki ülke arasında bir kültür köprüsü olmaya çalışmıştır.
Halen Özbekistan Millî Üniversitesinde hizmet etmektedir. Evli, üç çocuk babasıdır. Ana dili dışında Türkiye Türkçesi ve Rusça bilmektedir.

Selçuk Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsünde İslam hukuku alanında yüksek lisansını (2010), Necmettin Erbakan Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsünde aynı alanda doktorasını (2016) tamamlamıştır. 2022 yılında İslam hukuku alanında doçent olmuştur. 2024 itibariyle Şikago Başkonsolosluğunda Din Hizmetleri Ataşesi olarak görev yapmaktadır. Arapça ve İngilizce bilmektedir.

27.12.1963'de İstanbul'da doğdu. İlk, Orta ve End. Meslek Lisesi (Elektrik Bölümü) tahsilini İstanbul'da tamamladı. 1987'de Ankara Ü. İlahiyat Fakültesinden mezun oldu. 1987–1993 yılları arasında Elazığ ve Sivas'ta öğretmenlik yaptı. 1993 yılında Erciyes Ü. İlahiyat Fakültesi'nde Felsefe Tarihi A. B. Dalı Araştırma Görevlisi oldu. 1997'de “William James’in Ahlak Anlayışı” çalışmasıyla doktor unvanını aldı. 1998'de Felsefe Tarihi A. B. Dalına Yrd. Doçent olarak atandı. 2001 Ağustos–2002 Temmuz arasında Oklahoma State Üniversitesi Felsefe Bölümünde “Pragmatizm” ile ilgili araştırmalarda bulundu. Mayıs, 2004’te doçent oldu. 2007 yılında Kaliforniya Üniversitesinde “Dini Çoğulculuk” ve Southern Illinois Üniversitesinde “John Dewey” ile ilgili araştırmalarda bulundu. 2010 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi Felsefe Tarihi A. B. Dalına Profesör olarak atandı. 2013 yılında Kanada/McGill Üniversitesi, İslami Araştırmalar Enstitüsünde alanıyla ilgili araştırmalar yaptı. Çalışma alanı Pragmatizm, Ahlak ve İslam Düşüncesidir.

Sarıkamış’ta doğan ÖZTÜRK, ilköğrenimi ve ortaöğrenimi İstanbul-Maltepe ve Kocaeli-Gebze’de tamamladı. Lisans (1999) ve Yüksek Lisansını (2001) Muğla Üniversitesi Sosyoloji Bölümünde yaptı. 2006-2010 yıllarında İstanbul Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Sosyoloji Anabilim Dalında Doktora yaptı. Bu süre zarfında Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı bünyesinde çeşitli illerde Rehber Öğretmen olarak çalıştı. 2011 yılında Bartın Üniversitesi Sosyoloji Bölümüne öğretim üyesi olarak atanan ÖZTÜRK aynı zamanda kurucu bölüm başkanlığı görevini de üstelendi. 2014 Yılında YÖK bursu ile visiting scholar kapsamında İngiltere-Cambridge Üniversitesinde çalışmalarda bulundu. Ayrıca yaklaşık 25 ülkede çeşitli vesilelerle akademik çalışmalara iştirak etti. 2018’de doçent olan Öztürk, 2019 yılında Alanya Alâeddin Keykubat Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi, Eğitim Bilimleri Bölümü, PDR Anabilim dalına atandı. Ayrıca 2019’dan beri İngilizce eğitim veren Antalya Bilim Üniversitesinde çeşitli dersler vermek üzere de görevlendirildi. 2023 yılında Profesör olarak atanan Ali ÖZTÜRK’ün çok sayıda uluslararası önemli dergilerde yayınlanmış özgün İngilizce ve Türkçe makaleleri, çok sayıda uluslararası sempozyumlarda sunulmuş Türkçe ve İngilizce bildirileri, farklı idari görevleri, radyo programları, televizyon programları, eğitim programları, geliştirdiği ve teklif ettiği yeni müfredat formları farklı sahada yaptığı çalışmaları ile hayli geniş bir entelektüel deneyime sahiptir. Aynı şekilde birçok kitap ve kitap editörlüğü olan Ali ÖZTÜRK’ün özelikle İmajoloji adlı (bir disiplin denemesi) çalışması özgünlüğü ve farklı önerileriyle disiplinlerarası ilim sahasına önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. İyi derecede İngilizce orta derecede Arapça bilen Öztürk’ün bunların yanı sıra farklı dillere olan ilgisi amatör düzeyde devam etmektedir.

Prof. Dr. Ali Öztürk completed his undergraduate (1999) and master's degree (2001) education at Muğla University, Department of Sociology and did PhD at Istanbul University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Sociology, between 2006 and 2010. ÖZTÜRK, who was appointed as a faculty member to the Department of Sociology at Bartın University in 2011, also served as the head of the sociology program. In 2014, he has been as a Visitor Scholar at the University of Cambridge in England, with a YÖK scholarship. He has also participated in academic studies on various occasions in nearly 25 countries. Öztürk, who became an associate professor in 2018, was appointed to the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department of Alanya Alâeddin Keykubat University, Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences, in 2019. He was also assigned to give various lectures (in English) at Antalya Bilim University since 2019. Ali ÖZTÜRK, who was appointed as a Professor in 2023, has original articles in English and Turkish in many important international journals, Turkish and English papers presented in many international symposiums, different administrative duties, radio programs and television programs also educational programs and new curricula developed and proposed. He has a wide range of intellectual and institutional experience through his work in different fields. Ali ÖZTÜRK, has many books and editorials, and who has made significant contributions to the field of interdisciplinary science with his originality and different suggestions, especially with his work titled Imgology (an interdisciplinary essay). He speaks fluent English and intermediate Arabic, continues his interest in different languages ​​at an amateur level.

Sociology, Change, Underdevelopment and Modernisation Sociology

Doç. Dr. Sherzodhon Mahmudov 1994-1999 yıllarında Fergana Devlet Üniversitesi (Özbekistan) Şarkiyat Bölümünde lisans ve yüksek lisans eğitimini tamamladı. 1999-2002 yıllarında Hokand Devlet Pedagoji Üniversitesinin Tarih Fakültesi Genel Tarih Bölümünde öğretim üyesi olarak çalıştı. 2002-2005 yıllarında Özbekistan Bilimler Akademisi Tarih Enstitüsünde doktora eğitimini tamamladı. “1709-1876 yıllar arasında Hokand Hanlığının idari yönetim sistemi” konulu doktora tezini 2007 yılında hazırlayarak doktora derecesini aldı. 2006-2015 yıllarında Özbekistan Bilimler Akademisi Tarih Enstitüsünün Orta Çağ Tarihi Bölümünde faaliyet gösterdi.2010-2013 yıllarında “18.- 19. Yüzyıl Ortası Hokand Hanlığının Diplomatik İlişkilerinde Dini Ulemanın Rolü” adı ile Almanya’nın Gerda Henkel Stiftung kuruluşundan proje yürütücüsü oldu. 2012 yılında Ohio Devlet Üniversitesi, İndiana Üniversitesi (ABD) gibi öğretim kurumlarında misafir akademisyen olarak bulundu.2015’te Fergana Politeknik Üniversitesi rektör yardımcısı olarak görevlendirilmiş ve bu görevi 2018’a kadar sürdürdü. 2019’den bugüne dek Özbekistan Bilimler Akademisi Tarih Enstitü Başkan Yardımcısı ve Orta Çağ Tarihi Bölümü başkanı olarak çalışmaktadır. Türkiye, ABD, İngiltere, Almanya, Hindistan, Rusya, İran, Umman gibi ülkelerde akademik çalışmalarda bulunmuş ve aynı ülkelerde düzenlenen bilimsel sempozyum ve kongrelere katılmıştır. Yazma eserler incelemesi, Hokand Hanlığının Tarihi, Hokand-Osmanlı arasındaki diplomatik ilişkileri gibi konular çalışma alanları arasındadır ve çok sayıda makale yayımlamıştır. Türkiye Türkçesi, Farsça, İngilizce ve Rusça bilmektedir.
Atatürk Kültür, Dil ve Tarih Yüksek Kurumu Yönetim Kurulunun 23.01.2023 tarihli ve 850/58 sayılı kararıyla Türk Tarih Kurumu Haberleşme Üyesi olarak seçilmiştir.
