Political representation is a very broad concept. The issue of how and by whom citizens will be governed have been discussed and many different representation models have been suggested. The representative have sometimes been accepted as a symbol, sometimes a reflector of the community he represents. It is also seemed as a subsidiarity. With all of these traditional views, new models of political representation have been offered in the global world politics and the concept has been a versatile issue. The aim of this study is to probe the concept of political representation and compare the traditional and post-modern models by a descriptive approach. In this sense, the changing nature of the representation has been proved and contributed to the literature
