Abstract

ABSTRACT
Undoubtedly being one of the leading orientalisı in Gennany,
Gotthard Jaeschke has always had a great respcct and apprectation in Turkey because of his invaluable studies on Turkeyand Turkish Pcople. His Works are mainly based on the reformation process of Turkish State and people under Ataturk's administration.
He wrote numerous works from books to artides between 1917-1983 about Turkish History, most of which particularly providc important materials for the recent Turkish History. He was very delightcd and honoured to meet Ataturk İn person in Turkish Grand National Asembly in 1929, and he expressed his sense of admiration and friendship.
