Özet
Mısır'da kurulan ve İslam dünyasında çok geniş bir coğrafYada hüküm süren
Eyyubiler, sanatta ve kültürde önemli eserler vermişlerdir. Bunların bir diğer grubu
da türbelerdir. Mezar mimarisinin ve bununla bağlantılı olarak defin geleneğinin
çok köklü olduğu Mısır'da Eyyubiler döneminde inşa edilen mezar yapıları; İmam
Şafi'i Türbesi (1211-12), Abbasi Halifeleri Türbesi (1242-43), Necmeddin Salih
Eyyub Türbesi (1250), ve Şeceretü' d-Dür Türbesi (1250)' dir. Bu türbeler, kare
planlı ve tek kubbeyle örtülü yapıları ve süslemeleriyle dikkat çekerken, İmam
Şafı'i'nin sandukası da Eyyubi devrinin en muhteşem ahşap eserlerinden biri
olarak değerlendirilmektedir.

Abstract
Ayyubids established in Egypt and ruled in very large area of the Islamic
world, produced important works in the field of art and culture. The other group of
these are tombs. In Egypt where the grave architecture and the tradition of burial
were very old, the tombs which were built in the period of the Ayyubids are The
Tomb of Imam Shafi 'ı (12 i i - i 2), The Tomb of Abbasid Khalifates (ı 242-43), The
Tomb ofNecmeddin Salih Eyyub (1250) and The Tomb ofŞeceretü'd-Dür(1250).
On the one hand these tombs are remarkable buildings with their architecture
which had square plan and covered single dome, and decoration, on the other hand
it has been considered that the sarcophages of Imam Shafı'i is the one of the most
magnificent wood works in the Ayyubid period.
