ÖZET
Her millette olduğu gibi Araplarda da tarihleri boyunca meşhur “cömert”ler gelip geçmiştir. Biz bu makalemizde gerek İslâm’dan önce, gerekse İslâm’ın ilk dönemlerinde yaşamış cömertlerden birkaçı hakkında derli toplu bilgi vermeye çalıştık.

ABSTRACT

As it is observed in the history of any nation, the Arabs have had some persons distinguished with their generosity. In this article we attempted to give a full account of some of these people who belong to the pre-Islamic Paganism and who lived during the Islamic period.
