Abstract

ÖZET
İslâm Modernizmi terimi, yeni bir söylem olup bununla İslâm'ın temel kaynaklarına dönüş ve bu kaynakların günümüz şartlarına göre yorumlanıp uyarlanması kastedilmektedir. İslâm Modernizminin iki önemli temsilcilerinden Afgânî ve Abduh, bu
çerçevede “ Dini; bid’at ve hurâfelerden arındırmak, Kur’an ve
sünnete yönelmek, taklidi bırakarak ictihad yapmak ve bu vesile ile düşünceyi canlandırmak, eğitime önem vermek, tasavvufun Kur’an ve sünnete uymayan yönlerine karşı çıkmak, Batının ilim ve tekniğini almak... gibi hususlarda görüş birliğindedirler. Bununla beraber Afgânî aksiyon ve mücadele adamıydı. Hareket çizgisi çoğunlukla siyasi idi. Abduh ise düşünce ve istiklâl adamıydı. Hareket çizgisi eğitim ağırlıklı ve politikadan uzaktı. Her iki mütefekkirin de ortak amacı; İslâm dünyasında fikrî ve ilmî uyanışı sağlamak, Müslümanları Batı dünyası karşısında güçlü duruma yükseltmekti.

ABSTRACT

(A Brief Glance at Afghanî and Abduh’s Modern Attitudes)
Islamic Modernism is a new term it is meaned from that term to
return to main sources of Islam and comment on that sources in accordance the conditions of our days. Afghani and Abduh two
representatives of that current are allied to purify the religion from heresies and superstition, be directed to Qur’an and sunnah make ijtihad ( independent judgement in legal or theological questions) by giving up the taqlid (imitation) and so to revive the thought , give importance to sciences, oppose to directions of mysticism which oppose to Qur’an and sunnah and accept the tecnique and science of the West. With all that Afghani was a man of revolotion and struggle. The direction of his acts was at most politic. In spite of that Abduh, a
man of thought and reasining was very different and far from
politic.But two allied’s shared aim was to awake Islamic world in
space of science and thought and to cause to ascend of Muslims in the face of West world.
