Diagnostic Ultrasound Examination of the Joint Diseases in Cattle

Abstract

Ultrasound is used to diagnose a variety of diseases in veterinary medicine. In particular, many veterinary teaching hospitals in the world are routinely used imaging method in limb disorder of cattle. The most common 5.0-7.5 MHz linear or convex ultrasound probes are used for the joints. The most important advantage is the patients and physicians can not create a hazard to, quick and easy to apply, lack ionizing and does not penetrate the tissues. Also, follow the appropriate treatment and control of my activities with other radiological methods has proven its superiority. Articular and periarticular swelling can be examined and made the distinction between chronic and acute arthritis with Ultrasonography. The main disadvantage; according to the physician that it has varying subjectivity.

Sığırlarda Eklem Hastalıklarının Tanısında Ultrasonografik Muayene

Abstract

Ultrasonografi veteriner hekimlikte birçok sistemde hastalıkların tanısında kullanılmaktadır. Özellikle son dönemlerde veteriner eğitim hastanelerinde sığırların ektremite bozukluklarında tanı amacıyla rutin uygulanan görüntüleme yöntemlerinden biridir. Eklemlerin ultrasonografisi için en sık 5.0-7.5 MHz’lik linear veya convex problar kullanılmaktadır. Hasta ve hekim açısından tehlike oluşturmaması, çabuk ve kolay uygulanması, iyonizan olmaması ve dokulara nüfuz etmemesi ultrasonografinin en önemli avantajlarıdır. Ayrıca, uygulanan sağaltımın etkinliğinin takip ve kontrol edilmesi ile diğer radyolojik yöntemlere göre üstünlüğünü kanıtlamıştır. Ultrasonografi ile artiküler ve periartiküler şişkinlikler muayene edilebilirken, akut ve kronik artritislerin ayırımı yapılabilir. Başlıca dezavantajı ise; uygulayan hekime göre değişen subjektiviteye sahip olmasıdır.
