Akkaraman Kuzularda Bakır Yetersizliğinin ve Rasyona Bakır İlavesinin Bazı Hematolojik Parametreler, Yapağı Verimi, Yem Tüketimi ve Canlı Ağırlık Üzerine Etkisi

Year 2007, Volume: 2 Issue: 4, 164 - 171, 18.04.2010

Abstract

Akkaraman kuzularda bakır yetersizliğinin ve rasyona bakır ilavesinin bazı hematolojik
parametreler, yapağı verimi, yem tüketimi ve canlı ağırlık artışına ilişkin parametreler üzerine olan etkilerinin
belirlenmesi amaçlandığı bu çalışmada 3 aylık toplam 18 adet Akkaraman erkek kuzu kullanıldı. Hayvanlar;

Effects of copper deficiency and copper supplementation to the ration on some haematological parameters, wool yield, body weight and feed consumption in Akkaraman lambs

Year 2007, Volume: 2 Issue: 4, 164 - 171, 18.04.2010

Abstract

Effects of copper deficiency and copper supplementation to the ration on some haematological parameters, wool yield, body weight and feed consumption in Akkaraman lambs. Summary: This study was conducted to determine the effects of copper deficiency and copper supplementation to the ration on some haematological parameters, wool yield, body weight and feed consumption in Akkaraman lambs. In this study, a total of 18 male Akkaraman lambs, aging 3 months were used. The animals were equally divided into three groups as cooper deficient (Cu-), control (C) and copper supplemented (Cu+). While the control and copper deficient groups were fed with a ration containing 11 mg/kg, copper supplemented group was fed with a ration containing 25 mg/kg copper ad libitum for 6 months. Ammonium tetrathiomolibdate was depleted by subcutan injection to Cu- group for 35 days daily once, and then a ration of 30 mg/kg molybden and 225 mg/kg sulphate up to the end of the study was added to Cu- group. Blood samples were taken from jugular vein at 30 day intervals during six mount. Erythrocyte counts (at 3 rd and 6 th mounts), mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (at 3 rd, 5 th and 6 th mounts), haemoglobin amount and copper level (during 2nd-6 th mounts) in blood samples were significantly (p < 0,05) lower in copper deficient than the other groups, but erythrocyte sedimentation was higher in Cu- at 3rd and 4th mounts. No significant differences were found in wool yield feed consumption and body weight between the experimental and the control groups (p > 0,05). In conclusion, the determination of Cu deficient and Cu supply to ration are thought to explain the changes related to body weight increase, feed consumption, wool yield and various haematological parameters in lambs, and to shed light on future studies on this subject in this species.
