Abstract

In this study, dynamic diffusion and adsorption behavior of volatile organic compound (VOC), toluene, in various gypsums having porous structure were investigated by a single-pellet moment technique. The experimental studies were performed a one sided single-pellet Wicke-Kallenbach diffusion/adsorption cell at atmospheric pressure. Nitrogen was used as carrier gas. The gas analyses of VOCs were measured by using GC. 2 µl pulses of toluene were injected in the cell inlet. The signals

ÇEŞİTLİ ALÇILARDA TOLUENİN DİFÜZYON VE ADSORPSİYONUNUN DİNAMİK ANALİZİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, bir uçucu organik bileşik (UOB) olan toluenin gözenekli yapıdaki çeşitli alçılarda dinamik difüzyon ve adsorpsiyon davranışı tek pelet moment tekniği ile incelenmiştir. Deneysel çalışmalar bir taraflı tek pelet Wicke-Kallenbach tipi bir difüzyon/adsorpsiyon hücresinde ve atmosfer basıncında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Taşıyıcı gaz olarak azot kullanılmıştır. Gaz analizleri GC’de yapılmıştır.  Hücre girişinden 2 µl hacminde toluen pulse olarak enjekte edilmiştir. GC dedektöründen alınan elektriksel sinyaller veri toplama kartı ve bilgisayar ile tepki piklerine dönüştürülmüştür. Elde edilen cevap piklerinin analizi ile toluenin adsorpsiyon denge sabiti ve etkin difüzyon katsayıları hesaplanmıştır. Deneyler 8.34x10-7-2.92x10-6 m3/s farklı akış hızlarında ve 298-333 K sıcaklık aralığında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sonuçlardan toluen adsorpsiyonunun sıcaklıkla azaldığı görülmüştür. Toluen en yüksek inşaat alçısı ve makine sıva alçılarında en düşük ısı yalıtım alçısında adsorplanmıştır. Toluenin çeşitli alçı peletlerindeki etkin difüzyon katsayıları ise artan sıcaklıkla artmıştır.
