Extraction in Orthodontic Treatment: Review

Year 2020, Volume: 47 Issue: 1-3, 143 - 154, 31.12.2020

Abstract

Tooth extraction for orthodontic treatment has been a subject of debate for more than a century. In the treatment of many malocclusions, tooth extraction is needed for different reasons. It is not possible to treat these malocclusions without tooth extraction; can be used in situations such as need for space, correcting overjet and overbite, camouflage treatment. One of the most critical points when planning treatment is to decide which tooth to be extracted and how to close the extraction space. The aim of the review is to inform the clinicians about conditions and which tooth to be extracted.

ORTODONTİK TEDAVİDE DİŞ ÇEKİMİ

Year 2020, Volume: 47 Issue: 1-3, 143 - 154, 31.12.2020
