AĞIZ İÇİ DİJİTAL TARAYICI İLE ELDE EDİLEN DENTAL MODELLERİN GELENEKSEL ALÇI MODELLER İLE KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract

Bu çalışmada amacımız, dijital ortodontik modellerin güvenilirliğini test etmek, geleneksel alçı modeller ile boyutsal hassasiyet karşılaştırılmasını yapmaktır. Bu amaçla çalışmamıza 18 ile 25 yaş arasında Ankara Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi öğrencisi 20 kız, 10 erkek toplamda 30 birey dahil edilmiştir. 30 bireyden aljinat kullanılarak ölçüleri alınmış ve alçı modelleri elde edilmiştir. Daha sonra Trios (3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark) ağız içi tarama cihazı kullanılarak 3 boyutlu (3B) dijital modeller oluşturulmuştur. Alçı modeller üzerinde ölçümler dijital bir kumpas ile, dijital modeller üzerinde ölçümler ise OrthoAnalyzer (3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark) programıyla yapılmıştır. Gruplar arası karşılaştırmada eşleştirilmiş t-testi kullanılmıştır. Tekrarlanabilirlik ve benzerlik değerlendirmeleri için ICC (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient) güvenirlik katsayılarından yararlanılmıştır. 3B dijital modeller ile geleneksel alçı modeller ölçümleri arasında ölçülen parametrelerde istatistiksel olarak önemli bir fark saptanmamıştır. UR2-UL2, anterior dental ark uzunluğu ve total ark uzunluğu ölçümlerinde fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olsa da bu fark klinik olarak kabul edilebilir bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak 3B dijital tarama sisteminin geleneksel ağız içi alçı modellerin yerini alabilecek hassasiyete sahip olduğu saptanmıştır.

Comparison Of Dental Models Obtained From Intraoral Digital Scanner With Traditional Plaster Models

Abstract

The aim of this study was to test the reliability of digital orthodontic models and to compare them with traditional plaster models regarding dimensional accuracy. For this purpose, a total of 30 dental students (20 female,10 male) from Ankara University Faculty of Dental Medicine between 18 and 25 years of age were included. Plaster models were obtained by alginate impressions from 30 subjects. Then, three-dimensional (3D) digital models were created using Trios (3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark) intraoral scanning device. Measurements were made on plaster models using digital calipers and measurements on 3D digital models were performed with OrthoAnalyzer (3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark) software. Paired t-test was used for the comparison between two groups. ICC (Intraclass Correlation Coefficients) were used for repeatability and similarity assessments. There was no statistically significant difference between the 3D digital and conventional plaster models. Although the differences in UR2-UL2, anterior dental arch length and total arch length measurements were statistically significant, they were clinically acceptable. As a result, 3D digital scanning system was found tobe adequately precise to replace traditional intraoral plaster models.
