An infrared spectroscopic study of some metal urea Tetracyanonickelate complexes

Abstract

The results of an infrared spectroscopic study are reported for four new urea complexes of the form M (urea)2 Ni(CN)4 (M = Ni, Co, Cd or Mn). Their structure consists of polym eric la- yers of (M -Ni (CN)4) w ith urea molecules bound to m etal, M, through oxygen, sim ilar to the structure found in H ofm ann type hoşt complexes.
