ŞİZOFRENİDE İLAÇ TEDAVİSİNE UYUM VE PSİKİYATRİ HEMŞİRESİNİN ROLÜ

Abstract
Özet
Şizofreni, dünyada 21 milyondan fazla kişiyi etkileyen ve hastalık yüküne sebep olan bir hastalıktır. Psikofarmakalojik girişimlerin kanıtlanan yararlarına karşın bu hastaların yaklaşık yarısının ilaç tedavisine uyum sağlamadığı bilinmektedir. Oysa şizofreni hastalarının ilaç tedavisine uyum problemleri; hastaneye yeniden yatış oranlarında ve sağlık giderlerinde artışa, hastalık semptomlarında alevlenmeye, nükse, işlevsellikte bozulmaya ve intihara kadar varan birçok olumsuz sonuca neden olmaktadır. Bu sonuçlar göz önünde bulundurulduğunda şizofreni hastalarının ilaç tedavisine uyumunu artırmanın bir zorunluluk olduğu ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu problemin yönetiminde öncelikli olarak şizofreni hastalarında ilaç tedavisine uyumu güçleştiren faktörler belirlenmelidir. İlaç tedavisine uyumun sağlanmasının psikiyatri hemşirelerinin öncelikli hedefleri arasında yer aldığı dikkate alındığında, hemşireler bu problemin çözümünde anahtar rol oynamaktadırlar. Bu derleme şizofreni hastalarında ilaç tedavisine uyumunu güçleştiren faktörleri ve ilaç tedavisine uyum problemlerinin yönetiminde psikiyatri hemşiresinin rolünü literatür bilgisi doğrultusunda incelemek amacı ile yazılmıştır.
