Abstract
Amaç: Yaşlılık dönemi sağlık fonksiyonlarının azalması, statü kaybının yaşanması, sosyal sorunların artması gibi birçok sorunu beraberinde getiren bir dönemdir. Bu sorunlardan biri de yaşlıların ihmal edilmesidir. Yaşlı ihmali, bilinçli veya bilinçsiz olarak yaşlının sosyal, fiziksel ve duygusal ihtiyaçlarını karşılamada yetersizlik olarak adlandırılır. Yaşlı ihmalinin önlenmesi için ihmal belirtilerinin ve ihmal durumunda yapılacak girişimlerin bilinmesi gerekir. Bu olguda, birinci derece yakınları tarafından tıbbi sorunları göz ardı edilen, kötü hijyen, yetersiz beslenme ve sıvı alımı ile kötü konut koşullarına maruz bırakılan yaşlı ve yalnız bir kadının öyküsü ve hemşirelik girişimleri ele alınmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışma 03 Mart–20 Mayıs 2014 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. North American Nursing Diagnosis Association hemşirelik tanıları doğrultusunda hemşirelik tanıları belirlenmiş ve bu hemşirelik tanılarına yönelik girişimlerde bulunulmuştur. Bulgular: Tespit edilen hemşirelik tanıları yaşlı ihmalinde karşılaşılabilecek tanılardandır. Sonuç: Bu hemşirelik tanılarını alan yaşlı bireyler ihmal edilmiş olabileceği gibi, ihmal edilen yaşlı bireylerde de bu hemşirelik tanılarının ortaya çıkabileceği düşünülebilir
Abstract
Objective: The aging period is a period bringing with it many problems such as decrease of health functions, loss of status, increase of social problems. One of these problems is the neglect of the elderly. Elderly neglect is called conscious or unconscious disability to meet the social, physical and emotional needs of the elderly. In order to prevent elderly negligence, it is necessary to know the negligence statements and the attempts to be made in case of negligence. In this case report, it has been shared that first-degree relatives can be made within the scope of a narrative and nursing initiative of an elderly and lonely woman exposed to poor hygiene, malnutrition and fluid intake and poor housing conditions, ignoring medical problems. Method: The study was conducted between 03 March and 20 May 2014. In the direction of North American Nursing Diagnosis Association nursing diagnoses, nursing diagnoses were identified and initiatives were made for these nursing diagnoses. The diagnosed nursing diagnoses are diagnoses that can be encountered in elderly neglect. Elderly individuals who take these nursing diagnoses may have been neglected, and it may be thought that these nursing diagnoses may arise in neglected elderly individuals
