• Authors agree to transfer their copyrights to our Journal under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license when the article is accepted for publication.
• Since Journal of Ankara Health Sciences is owned by Ankara University Faculty of Health Sciences, a maximum of one article can be included in each issue according to the order of application from the articles that have applied, whose authors / authors are faculty members / members of our Faculty, and have been accepted by completing the stages such as editorial evaluation and referee process.

REFEREE EVALUATION PROCESS
1. Each submitted manuscript is formally pre-reviewed by the editors. If the manuscript has formal deficiencies, the author of the correspondence is notified for correction. These deficiencies must be completed in order for the article to be included in the referee process. Articles that do not pass the preliminary checks may be rejected by the editor. At the pre-check stage, our journal scans all submitted articles to prevent plagiarism. The similarity rate is expected to be less than 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this rate will be rejected at the preliminary review stage.
2. Articles that pass the preliminary checks are first forwarded to the field editor. The relevant research is examined by the field editor in terms of problematic and academic language and style and forwarded to the editor. The research that is deemed publishable is sent to at least two referees for evaluation by the editor. Referees are assigned according to their areas of expertise by searching the keywords in Dergipark and YÖK ATLAS. If two referees reject the manuscript, the manuscript is rejected. In case one of the referees rejects the manuscript and the other one decides to accept/correct it, an invitation is sent to a third referee. In this case, the final decision is made by the editor based on the decisions of three referees. The referee process is carried out within the scope of double blind refereeing.
3. The final version of the article, which is decided to be published, is sent to the corresponding author for review (In articles with multiple authors, the corresponding author is responsible for sending the final version of the manuscript to the other authors and obtaining their approval). The manuscript is evaluated for suitability for publication and the result is forwarded to the journal editor by the corresponding author.
4. After the manuscript is sent to the typesetter, the authors are informed by the journal editor that “your article has been accepted for publication”.
