The Influencial Factors On Atrial Fibrillation In Patients With Mitral Stenosis

Abstract

In this study, 56 patients who would be operated because of mitral stenosis were examined. Before operation, 25 (% 44,6) patients had atrial fibrillation (group I) and there were 31 (% 55,4) patients who had sinusal rhythm (group ID). While making comparison between two groups, in group! the age was Bees (36,80-£10,65 vs 31,22+8,24), the left atrial diameter was larger (3,32 + 0,46 cm/m’ vs 2,46 = 0,23 - cm/m2), the left atrial pressure was lower (21,88+6,70 mmHg vs 27,58; +5,72 mmHg), the mitral valve area was smaller (1,16-£0,22.cm vs 1,43+0,44 cm) than group II. The results were statisticaly significant. After operation, the atrial fibrillation in 10 patients of group I (% 40) returned to sinusal rhythm, As a conclusion, the development of atrial fibrillation in meet stenosis may be depend on interferans of several factors in variable ratios such as age, mitral valve area, severity of hemodynamic impairment, extention of rheumatismal myocardial injury, left atr jad size.

Mitral Darlığı Olan Hastalarda Atrial Fibrilasyon Gelişimine Etki Eden Faktörler

Abstract

Bu çalışmada mitral darlığı nedeniyle ameliyat edilecek 56 hasta incelendi. Ameliyat öncesi 25 (% 44,6) hastada atriyal fibrilasyon (grup I) ve 31 (% 55,4) hastada sinüs ritmi vardı (grup ID). İki grup arasında karşılaştırma yapılırken, Grup!'da yaş Arılar (36,80-£10,65 vs 31,22+8,24), sol atriyum çapı daha büyüktü (3,32 + 0,46 cm/m' vs 2,46 = 0,23 - cm/m2), sol atriyum basıncı daha düşüktü (21,88+6,70 mmHg vs 27,58; +5,72 mmHg), mitral kapak alanı daha küçüktü (1,16-£0,22.cm vs 1,43+0,44 cm) Grup II'den. Sonuçlar istatistiksel olarak anlamlıydı. Ameliyat sonrası grup I'deki 10 hastada (% 40) atriyal fibrilasyon sinüs ritmine döndü. Sonuç olarak; kapak darlığında atriyal fibrilasyon gelişimi yaş, mitral kapak alanı, hemodinamik bozukluğun ciddiyeti, romatizmal miyokard hasarının yaygınlığı, sol atriyal fibrilasyon çapı gibi çeşitli faktörlerin değişken oranlarda interferansına bağlı olabilir.
