Annulus Calcification Complicated By Infective Endocarditis
(Case Report)
case with mitral annulus calcification, complicated by infective
endocartitis was presented. In mitral annulus calcification, the age
and sex relation, pathology, clinical findings and complications were
reviewed. It was emphasized that all elderly patients with mitral
annulus calcification must be taken antibiotic prophylaxis because of
difficulty of diagnosis and therapy in infective endocarditis complica-
tion.

Abstract

İnfektif endokardit gelişen bir mitral anulus kalsifikasyonu olgusu sunulmuştur. Mitral anulus kalsifikasyonunda yas ve cinsle olan ilgisi, patolojik ve klinik bulgular, komplikasyonlar gözden geçirilmiş, infektif endokardit komplikasyonunun tanı ve tedavi gticligti nedeniyle mitral anulus kalsifikasyonlu yash hastalarda antibiyotik profilaksisinin önemi vurgulanmustir.
