HISTOPATHOLOGICAL INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF INTRA-ARTERIALLY GIVEN DIMETHYLSULPHOXIDE ON ISCHEMIA/REPERFUSION INJURY

Abstract

In the experimentalIy focal cerebral ischemia/recirculation ischemia ,he effect ol intra arterial administration of the DMSO during the vecirculation period to ihe ischemic lesion field have been evaluated histonathologicaliy, in rabbits. DMSO administred during pecirculation period is found to be beneticial effect in reducing ischemia.

Abstract

Deneysel fokal serebral iskemi/resirkülasyon iskemisinde resirkülasyonla beraber intra arteriel olarak verilen DiMetil Sülfoksit (DMSO)'in lezyon bölgesine olan etkileri histopatolojik olarak incelenmiştir. Resirkülasyon periyodunda intra arteriyel olarak verilen DMSO'nun iskemik değişikliklerin azaltılmasında faydalı etkisi olduğu görülmüştür.
