Orta Dereceli Okul Öğrencilerinde Sigara İçme Alışkanlığı, Okul İçi Etkinlikler Ve Bazı Aile Özellikleri Arasındaki İlişkiler

Abstract

1986 yılında Tokat'da, orta dereceli okul öğrencilerinde sigara, içme alışkanlığının boyutlarını ve bazı özelliklerini incelemek amacıyla 4129 öğrencide bir anket çalışması yapıldı. Bu çalışmada öğrencilere, sigara içme özelliklerinin yanısıra, sportif etkinliklerdeki ve derlserdeki başarı durumları, aile bireylerinin ,arkadaşlarınınve öğretmenlerinin sigara içme durumu ile öğrencilerin bazı aile özellikleri hakkında sorular soruldu. Bu sorulara verilen yanıtların değerlendirilmesinde, sigara içen öğrencilerin sigara içmeyen öğrencilere göre derslerinde daha az başarılı oldukları, okula devamsızlıklarının dalıa fazla olduğu fakat sportif etkinliklere daha çok katıldıkları ve bu etkinliklerde daha başarılı oldukları görüldü. Ailelerinin sos-ekonomik düzeyinin öğrencilerin sigara içme özelliğini etkilemediği, fakat evde
sigara içen yetişkin sayısı ile öğrencilerin sigara içme alışkanlığı arasında. anlamlı ilişkiler bulunduğu saptandı. Sigara içmeyen öğrencilere göre sigara içen öğrencilerin arkadaşları ve öğretmenlerinin daha çok sigara içtiği bulundu.

Abstract

In 1986, a survey was conducted on 4129 students in Tokat to examine the dimensions and some characteristics of smoking habits in secondary school students. In this study, students were asked questions about their smoking habits, as well as their success in sports activities and classes, the smoking habits of their family members, friends and teachers, and some of the students' family characteristics. When the answers to these questions were evaluated, it was seen that students who smoke were less successful in their classes than those who do not smoke, that they were more absent from school, but that they participated more in sports activities and were more successful in these activities. It was determined that the socio-economic level of the families did not affect the students' smoking habits, but there was a significant relationship between the number of adults who smoke at home and the students' smoking habits.
