Abstract

Twelve patients who diagnosed as brucellosis in the Infectious Diseases Unit of the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Ankara Faculty of Medicine between 1975 - 1988 are presented and various clinical presentations are discussed.

Brucellosis was found to berarein childhood, and that ondulant fever is not freguent. However, hepatosplenomegaly, Iymphadenopathy, artritis and especialliy skin rashes freguently accompany the clinical picture.

Abstract

Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı İnfeksiyon Hastalıkları bölümünde 1975 - 1988 tarihleri arasında, Bruselloz tanısı ile izlenen 12 hasta çeşitli yönleri ile incelenmiştir,

Hastalığın çocukluk döneminde nadir görüldüğü, ondulan ateşe çocuklarda, sık rastlanmadığı, hepatosplenomegali, lenfadenopati ve artrit yanında özellikle deri döküntülerinin de yüksek sıklıkta tabloya eşlik ettiği vurgulanmıştır.
