Aggregated unkonjuge hyperbilirubinemia is the common problem in the neonatal period. Etiologic causes of unconjuge hyperbilirubinemia, could not be found in the great percentage of patients. Etiologic factors were investigated in 50 fullterm newborn with non“ hemolytic-nonphysiologic jaundice over 5 months period. Out of 50 patients 7 had hemolytic anemia (14 96) 43 had nonphysiologic-nonhemolytic unconjuge hyperbiluribinemia. Spesific causes of nonphysiologic-nonhemolytic hyperbilirubinemia could be determinated in 55.79
percent of patient, but 44.21 percent of patient in whom no cause for iaundice determined. The most common occurence of jaundice re . guiring phototherapy was polycytemia and breast-feeding hyperbilirubinemia in our group.
