Abstract

Abstract

Due to several reasons the procedure of closing wide tissue de fects reliably is only possible with musculocutaneus flaps, A good knowledge of the anatomy of the muscle chosen for transposition and its arteries, Will enhance the chances of success, These flaps have excellent circulation and contain both cutis, subcutis and muscle tissue, thus they give very. successful results in the reparation of three dimentional tissue defects and also in breast reconstruction. In this paper, our experience with twentytwo musculocutaneous flaps we have worked with in a period of two years at our department has been emphasized.
