Left Atrial mxyoma : A cause for syncope

Abstract

46 years old man was admitted to neurology deportment with a history of syncope for 12 years, The neurological examination and EEG of.the patient were normal. Cardiologic, and echocardiographic examination revealed left atrial mxyoma. The tumor was excised surgicalIy. Synocope is a very rare symptom of atrial myxomas. In this report, the neurological manifestations of atrial myxomas are discussed and literature is reviewed.

SENKOP NEDENİ OLARAK SOL ATRİYAL MİKSOMA

Abstract

Hastahanemiz Nöroloji bölümüne başvuran 46 yaşındaki erkek hasta 12 yıldır bayılma öyküsü veriyordu. Hastanın nörolojik muayenesi, rutin nörolojik incelemeleri ve EEG'si normal bulundu. Kardiyolojik incelemesinde ekokardiyografi ile sol atriyal miksoma saptandı. Tümör cerrahi olarak çıkarıldı. Senkop nedeni olarak atriyal miksomalar çok nadir görülmektedir. Yazıda olguya ait nörolojik belirtiler tartışılmış ve literatür gözden geçirilmiştir.
