Abstract
Masseteric hypertrophy is an idiopathic disease which occurs rarely. In anatomopathologic examinations, edema in muscle and thickenning in fibrils have been observed. However, no change has been recorded in temporal and pterygoid intern muscles, which are ather mouthclosing muscles.
In treatment, the extra oral method has been prefered. In ( ne case, edema lasting in 20 days and in another case, after fifteen years, a relapse with pain has been faced. In the paper, nine cases were analyzed

Abstract
Masseter hipertrofisi oldukça seyrek görülen idiopatik bir belirtidir. Anatomopatolojik muayenelerde kasda ödem ve liflerde kalmlasma görülmüştür. Buna karslllk yine až1Z kapama kaslarl Olan temporal ve Masseter hipertrofisi intern kaslarında da bir değişiklik bulunamarmştır. Tedavide ekstraoral yol tercih edilmistir. Bir vakada 20 gün süren ödem diger bir vakada da 15 sene sonra ağrlll bir nüks görülmüstür.
