Carcinoembryonic Antigen In Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma

Abstract

Plasma carcinoembryonic antigen levels were measured in 50 patients and they were treated surgicaliy nodular goiter. Eight of the 50 patients had differentiated thyroid carcinoma and these patients presented normal carcinoembryonic antigen levels. This study demostrates no diagnostic significance of carcinoembryonic antigen determination differentiated thyroid carcinoma.
