Abstract

Bu çalışmada nodüler tiroid lezyonu bulunan 78 olguda, preoperatif ince iğne biopsisi yapılarak, sonuçlar histo-patolojik muayene bulgularıyla, karşilaştırılmıştır. 4 olguda tiroid kanseri, 74 olguda benign guatr saptandı. Yanlış negatif ve yanlış pozitif sonuç bulunmadı. Tiroid nodüllerinin değerlendirilmesinde, ince iğne aspirasyon biopsisinin çok iyi bir tanı yöntemi olduğu kanısına varıldı.

Fine Neddle Aspiration Biopsy In: The Diagnosis Of Thyroid Nodules And Comparison With Histopatological Results (Evaluation Of 78 Cases).

Abstract

In this study, a preoperative fine neddle aspiration biopsy has been performed in 78 patients with nodular thyroid lesions. The cytologic results have been compared with the histopathological findings.

This study has shown that 4 patients had cancer and 74 patients had benign thyroid lesions. Fine neddle aspiration biopsy gave no false negative and false positive results. It has been noticed that fine neddle aspiration biopsy is a very convenient diagnostic tool in the evaluation of the thyroid nodules.
