Abstract

6 aylllç C 5-6 fraktür dislokasyonda uygulanan vertebrektomi ve metilmetakrilat-vitallium plak ile olu$urulan protezin servikal stabilizasyon için kullamlma tekniŠi takdim edilmektedir. Geçirdigi bir travma sonucu C 5-6 arasl angulasyon, faset kitlenmesi ve kal olu• sumu görülen bir erkek hastaya belirli bir süre Crutchfielde traksion ile eksternal stabilizasyon uygulandlktan sonra cerrahi olarak C 5 ve C 6 vertebrektomi yaplhp vitallium plak destekli metilmetakrilat protez ile füzyon sažlandl.Servikal füzyon için kullamlan dižert deži;ik maddeler ve takdim edilen teknižin çesitli yönleri tartl$llmaktadlr.

Abstract

Vertebrectomy performed in a C 5-6 fracture Of SIX months duration and the technique of using a prosthesis, made of methylmetacrylate and vitallium plaque, for stabilization.Crutchfield traction was applied for external stabilization to a male patient who had a C 5-6 angulation, locked facets and callus for mation as a result of a trauma he had. Afterwards C 5 and C 6 vertebrectomy was perforn)ed surgically and fusion was accomplished by using a vitallium plaque supported acrylic prosthesis.
The other, different material used for cervical fusion and various aspects of the presented technique is discussed.
