Klinik olarak kalp hastalığının semptom ve bulguları olmayan diabetes mellituslularda
preklinik düzeyde myokardial bir disfonksiyonun buunup bulunmadığını
saptamak amacıyla 25 diabetli olguyu sistolik zamani ile inceledik.
Hiç bir hastalığı olmayan 25 gönüllü de kontrol grubumuzu oluşturdu.

evidence of cardiac involvemeni, and hypertension, obesity, retinal, renal and
ncurologic complication, systolic time invervals Were obtained in 25 normal subject
and 25 patients With diabetes mellitus. Nine patients Were having insulin, the
other nine were having oral hypoglycemic drug and the rest 7 patients were folliwing
only diet. Diabetes Was known to be present from one montlı to 10 years.
None of the patients had symploms suggestive of angina pectoris.
Systolic time intervals Were recorded on ossilographic recorder (Electronic for
Medicine DR-12) at a paper speed 200 mm per second with time markers at
0.02 second. Recording was done at least two hours postprandial in afternoon
using the method described by Weissler,
