Cımetıdıne In The Treatment Of Actıve Duodenal Ulcer, A Controlled Double-Blind Study

Abstract

The effect of Cimetidine in duodenal ulcer disease was assessed in a double blind, controlled and prospective trial in 31 outpatients, who completed the study, Patients received cither | g cimetidine per day or plecebo for a period of four Weeks. Both groups received antacid tablets for symptom relief, The ulcer healing was assessed by duodenoscopy before and after the trial. At the end of trial 77 Go of the cimetidine treated patients and 50 96 of the patients taking placebo were completely realed. Evaluation of symptom relief (pain) and antacid consumption rates supported the eficieney cimetidine compared with placebo. No toxic side effects were noted. The results of this study demonstrate a significent ulcer healing and carly symptom response With cimetidine therapy.

AKTİF DUODENUM ÜLSERİ TEDAVİSİNDE CİMETİDİNE , Kontrollu çift kör çalışma

Abstract

Cimetidine'nin duodenal ülser hastalığındaki etkisi, deneyi tamamlayan 31 poliklinik hastasında, kontrollu ve prospektif çift kör yöntemiyle incelendi. Hastalara 4 hafta süreyle günde 1 gm cimetidine veya plasebo ve semptomlarını gidermek için de antasid tabletleri verildi. Ulserin iyileşmesi, deneyden önce ve sonraduodenoskopi ile değerlendirildi. Araştırma sonunda, cimetidine'le tedavi gören grupta 96 77, plâsebo alanlarda 7 50 tam şifa sağlandı. Semptomların düzelmesi ve antasid tableti tüketiminin değerlendirilmesi de plaseboya göre cimetidine'nin tedavi edici etkisini destekledi. Toksik yan etkiler görülmedi. Bu deneyin sonuçla- Tı, ülserin iyileşmesinde ve septomların giderilmesinde cimetidine tedavisinin anlamlı düzeyde başarılı olduğunu göstermiştir.
