Thyroid Functions in Acvie Myocardial Infarction

Abstract

İn this study thyroid function tests (TFT) were performed in 19 patients (16 men, 3 women; mean age 51.8--12) with myocardial infarction (AMI). TT3 TT4, FT3, FT4, TSH, TBG and r13 were assayed in the 0-3-7-14 and 45th days of AMI and following results were found : 1) During the course of AMI TT3, TTA4, FT3, FT4, TSH and TBG were within the normal range, 2) r13 was low, 3) When o and 45th days of the AMI were compared, there was a stastistically significant decrease ot TT3 and FT3, 4) When «large infarct size group» and the group with left ventricular failure were compared with the control group with respect to TFTS, no statisticalIy significant difference was found. Akut Miyokard İnfarktüsünde Tiroid Fonksiyonları

Abstract

itesinde akut miyokard infarktüsü (AM) tanisı alan 19 hastada, (16 erkek, 3 kadın; yaş ortalaması 51.8-X12) tiroid fonksiyon testleri (TFT) araştırılmıştır. Bu olgularda 9-3-7-14-45. günlerde TT3, TT4, sT3, sT4, TSH, TBG, rT3 düzeyleri tayin edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda AMI seyri sırasında : 1) TT3, TT4, sT3, sT4, TSH ve TBG düzeylerinin normal sınırlarda seyrettiği, 2) r13 düzeylerinin literatürde bildirilenin aksine düşük bulunduğu, 3) TT3 ve sT3'de 0. günden 45. güne göre an- lamlı bir düşüklük olduğu (0.9403 VS 1.2704 ve 303*11 VS 44213; p<0.05), 4) Geniş infrakt alanlı ve sol ventrikül yetmezlikli grup ile kontrol grubu arasında TFT' açısından anlamlı bir fark olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
