Thermoregulation And Fever

Abstract

Humans have a homoiothermic structure, where body temperature does not change and remains constant within very narrow limits even when the ambient temperature changes. This constant temperature is the body's internal temperature. The body's internal temperature is kept constant depending on the balance between heat production and heat loss. Keeping the body's internal temperature stable in a balanced way is called thermoregulation. Thermoregulation requires more heat production and less heat loss when the temperature decreases (in cold). In the regulation of this body temperature, 1 - Autonomic nervous system, 2 - Somatic system, 3 - Endocrine system and 4 - Various behavioral patterns are effective in the organism.
