Non-Urinary Calcifications of the Ovary
Abstract
The calcification Of the ovary is a process frequently seen in some malignant ovarian tumors, however, it may be found in some be nign lesions. In this article the authors report two cases of ovarian calcification. In the first case there ise a special follicular calcification and the patient who complains of primary amenorrhea, has also high blood gonadotropin level. On the other hand, in the second case the calcification has coincidentally been discovered in an ovarian wedge biopsy specimen which has been taken during an operation performed in the suspicion of a twisted ovarian cyst.
